It was a Wimbledon to remember for Cameron Norrie, who, for just the second time in his career, reached the quarter-finals of the Championships. Hopes of a maiden Grand Slam title were slashed by the formidable Carlos Alcaraz, who put him to the sword on Centre Court, winning 2-6, 3-6, 3-6.

Carlos Alcaraz said ahead of his Wimbledon quarter-final against Cameron Norrie that playing the left-handed British player can be a nightmare and for a few minutes it looked as though the defending champion might be in for a fright on Tuesday.
