"Good Trouble Lives On" protests will be taking place across the country on Thursday, including in Central Florida. Nearly 50 Florida cities are expected to host the national day of action protests in response to "the attacks on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration.

The event was one in an ongoing series of protests against President Donald Trump, this one on the anniversary of civil rights icon John Lewis' death.

More than 200 rallied in Fort Myers to honor John Lewis and protest what they see as threats to civil and human rights.

The protests are part of a nationally organized event timed to mark the fifth anniversary of the death of Rep. John Lewis.

"Good Trouble Lives On" was the third protest of President Trump's policies that Nan Reiner has attended this year. The Palm Beach County resident says his administration is changing the nation she had come to know over 69 years.
