Activists with the Freedom Flotilla Coalition said a humanitarian ship headed to Gaza was bombed by a drone in the Mediterranean Sea.

The Freedom Flotilla Coalition campaign group said Friday that one of its ships bound for the Gaza Strip, carrying aid and dozens of activists, was attacked in international waters by drones in the middle of the night off Malta,

A human rights group operating the ship blamed a drone attack for the explosions, which caused a fire on the vessel. The crew was safe and remained on board.
