Tens of thousands of people have gathered in Beirut to attend the funeral of Hezbollah’s leader nearly five months after he was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a southern suburb of the capital.

A funeral was held for former Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who was killed in an Israeli airstrike in Beirut last September. During the service, Israeli jets flew overhead as the IDF also conducted strikes in southern and eastern parts of the Lebanon.

Five months after he was killed by an Israeli airstrike, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is laid to rest after a funeral attended by defiant supporters.
