A weekend brawl at a Dallas national cheerleading competition sent thousands of teens and parents running for their lives when the scuffle sparked false reports of an active shooter, police said.

The NCA National Championship at a Dallas convention center has turned chaotic with reports of a shooter at the national cheerleading competition.

Dallas police confirmed there was no active shooter after an incident in Downtown Dallas near the Omni Hotel and Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Saturday afternoon.

An active shooter has been reported at the Kay Bailey Convention center/Omni Hotel in Downtown Dallas during the NCA Cheerleading competition. Terrifying footage on social media shows hundreds of people running fro the center.
