Some of the nation's best colleges can be found in the Lone Star State, and one can be found on the same list as Ivy League schools like Yale and Harvard.

Universities across the Northeast dominated a new list of the best colleges in the US, with more than 30 institutions ranked among the nation's top 100. Niche released its 2026 Best Colleges in America list on Monday,

Niche ranked Yale as the best college in Connecticut, and the Ivy League college secured second place for Niche's 2026 Best Colleges in America, out of around 1,600 colleges across the country. Massachusetts Institute of Technology was ranked No.1.
