President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he's giving "two weeks" for Ukraine and Russia to make a deal as Kyiv is losing too many people to continue fighting amid the ongoing war with Russia, adding that he's disappointed in Russian President Vladimir Putin for continuing the conflict after peace negotiation talks.

Russia's ejection of Ukrainian troops from the Kursk region ends the biggest incursion into Russian territory since World War Two but it also removes another barrier to a peace deal Moscow was reluctant to conclude with so many enemy troops on its soil.

Russia acknowledged for the first time that North Korean troops were on the front lines of its war with Ukraine, with a senior military official crediting their role in helping Russian forces reclaim control of the Kursk region.
