Shane Gillis roasted everyone from the NFL’s Aaron Rodgers to President Donald Trump in his ESPY Awards monologue on Wednesday, but not everyone loved it.

Shane Gillis, the popular comedian once fired from "Saturday Night Live," hosted The ESPYs on Wednesday night. The Pennsylvania native, who played college football, was named the host of the sports-themed awards show earlier this summer.

Gillis, a standup comedian and the co-creator and star of Netflix’s Tires, is probably best known for lasting like four hours at Saturday Night Live — Lorne Michaels felt compelled to fire Gillis after some non-PC clips of a 2018 episode of Matt and Shane’s Secret Podcast were resurfaced — though he has gone on to host the show, twice.
