Connor Zilisch officially received a promotion to the NASCAR Cup Series for 2026 on Saturday. While that news hardly was surprising given Zilisch recorded seven victories in the Xfinity series, the 19-year-old still became emotional when reality settled in that Trackhouse Racing signed him to a multi-year contract.

He had another memorable moment on Saturday at Daytona International Speedway when Trackhouse Racing officially announced that he would race full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series in 2026.

Trackhouse Racing has officially signed a multiyear deal with Connor Zilisch to race in the NASCAR Cup Series, replacing Daniel Suarez after the Mexican-born driver spent five years with the organization. Suarez’s exit was previously announced on July 1st, and he has not yet secured a ride for next year.
