Washington’s Jedd Fisch excited to return to Michigan Stadium, calls it an 'awesome place'
Michigan and Washington will kick off at noon EDT at The Big House, with the game set to be broadcast on Fox. The Wolverines won the last game at Michigan Stadium in 2021, and also beat the Huskies in the 2023 national championship game. However, the maize and blue lost the last contest in Seattle.
Washington visits Michigan on Saturday, bringing Huskies head coach Jedd Fisch back to the Michigan Stadium sideline for the first time since he worked with the Wolverines. Fisch, Michigan’s passing game coordinator and quarterbacks and wide receivers coach during Jim Harbaugh’s first two seasons (2015 and 2016), respects Michigan’s rich tradition.
While it has been overshadowed by Penn State's collapse, the first half of Michigan's season hasn't exactly gone to plan.
Marshall believes the offense needs to find its focus and unity to be successful.
Michigan-Washington have split 2 games the past 2 seasons, with Wolverines winning CFP title and Huskies winning in 2024. Here's Week 8 start time.
"We gotta go back to work," Michigan football coach Sherone Moore said Monday. "No pouting, there's no worrying about it, no making excuses for it."
Sherrone Moore's Michigan will host Washington on Saturday as the Wolverines aim to improve to 5-2 on the 2025 season. Michigan fell 31-13 at USC last weekend and dropped out of the AP Top 25.
Michigan fell 31-13 to USC on Saturday, Oct. 11. Underwood passed for 207 yards on 15-of-24 attempts (62.5%) with two touchdowns and one interception. Jordan Marshall had 68 rushing yards on 14 carries, adding one reception for 16 yards. Andrew Marsh put up 138 yards on eight catches with one touchdown.
It doesn’t sound like the injury he suffered in Saturday’s loss to USC was anything serious. Head coach Sherrone Moore seemed to downplay it as such after the game, telling reporters that Haynes “probably could have” played in the second half of their 31-13 loss.
