PHOENIX (AZFamily) — Arizona residents who purchase health insurance through the Affordable Care Act marketplace could see an increase in premiums as high as 55%. This comes as enhanced premium tax credits are set to expire next year, unless Congress decides to extend the subsidies.
In 2026, premiums for a typical health insurance plan sold through the ACA marketplaces are projected to jump an average of 26%.
As many as 100,000 Oklahomans could no longer be able to afford health insurance by the end of the year, the state's insurance commissioner warned.
