Timothée Chalamet’s performance in A Complete Unknown is one of the buzziest this awards season. The actor completely threw himself into the life and legacy of Bob Dylan, even learning to play guitar and sing like the folk icon.

Based on the nonfiction book “Dylan Goes Electric!” by Elijah Wald, “A Complete Unknown” charts Bob Dylan’s meteoric rise to fame, beginning in 1961 and culminating during the night that changed everything four years later: the 1965 Newport Folk Festival where Dylan went electric.
