Early-Bird Gets The CartThe early bird may get the worm, but the Executive Member gets to Costco first. Beginning Sept. 1, warehouses open at 9 a.m. on weekdays and Sundays, and 9 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays.

Costco Executive members now get an exclusive “VIP Hour” to shop early before other members at warehouses nationwide.

According to the Costco website, Costco warehouses will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1, in observance of the Labor Day holiday. Stores will reopen for business as usual on Tuesday, Sept. 2. Along with Labor Day, Costco is also closed on the following major holidays:

Costco will be open for regular hours on Tuesday. Shoppers can expect a change on that day, however Starting Tuesday, Sept. 2, Costco will be open an hour early for its executive members. Executive members will be able to stop Monday – Friday from 9 a.m.-8:30 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

Labor Day falls on September 1 this year. While most stores and restaurants stay open, Costco, banks and post offices will be closed.
