There are more than 80 new food items at the North Carolina State Fair this year. We had a chance to try some of those items during the annual Deep Fried Media Luncheon on Monday.

This is not your basic calzone. They start with a large piece of fresh dough. They flatten it out and plop a few Oreo cooked on top. Then they scoop some chocolate chip cookie dough onto top of that.
