For the 36,000 residents claiming PUA unemployment, reports need to be made via the PUA portal starting Sunday, June 20.

Effective June 20, all PUA claimants will need to report their three contacts in the PUA portal. The state Department of Labor & Industrial Relations (DLIR) made the announcement on Thursday.

The PUA Appeals submission functionality went LIVE early this morning. Per state law (NRS 612.495), appeal submissions are required to be submitted within 11 days of claimant notification.

For now, PUA funding is set to run through 6 September, 2021. You may also be eligible to collect PUA unemployment benefits if: You or a family member have been infected by covid-19 and cannot work.

The Department encourages applicants to continue to file for unemployment benefits through the PUA portal if they are still in need or have not yet done so already.

Now the DLIR has announced that PUA claimants will have to search for work starting the week of June 13 and report employment contacts in their PUA portal starting June 20.

The state launched the PUA application portal May 5*, weeks later than many other states. It’s now one of only 13 states that have yet to pay out benefits to applicants.
