ST. MICHAELS — The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum’s Model Sailing Club will race model sailing skipjacks on Sunday, Sept. 21, with the public invited to watch from the museum’s waterfront.

Easier because the materials had, in fact, once been a sailing ship — a model made 50 or so years ago by an inmate at the District’s Lorton prison in Fairfax County.
