Mets third baseman Mark Vientos was removed from the team's game on Saturday with the Cardinals with groin discomfort, the team announced.

NEW YORK (AP) — Mets third baseman Mark Vientos left Saturday’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals because of groin tightness. Vientos was replaced by Brett Baty in the fifth, one inning after Vientos made a leaping grab to rob Brendan Donovan of a hit.

Kodai Senga extended his scoreless streak to 19 innings, Pete Alonso homered and the New York Mets beat the St. Louis Cardinals for the third straight day, 3-0.
