St. Joseph’s Health Hospital is experiencing a unique “baby boom” among its own staff.

The event raised more than $500,000 for the hospital’s labor and delivery department.

Other hospitals and health clinics exist that can provide abortion care in general but not during delivery; St. Joseph is the only hospital that still has a labor and delivery unit.

Making sure every mother knows they are supported, the Maternal and Infant Health team of the St. Joseph County Health Department is launching a new initiative.
