President Donald Trump met with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul for more than an hour on Friday to discuss a controversial Manhattan toll program known as congestion pricing. The Democratic governor also spoke with the president about immigration and energy policies during the Oval Office meeting,
Adams, who denies wrongdoing, expressed willingness to work with Hochul. The Justice Department recently dropped charges against Adams, sparking backlash and resignations within the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s office.
Despite the federal order, the tolls are remaining in place for now because of a federal lawsuit aiming to keep them alive.
