LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — President Donald Trump on Tuesday endorsed Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen for re-election. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said Pillen is doing an incredible job for the Cornhusker State.

Her profile echoes that of Ruben Gallego, Arizona’s rising Democratic star in the Senate: Hispanic, working-class roots, military service. Mendoza is flipping to a page in the GOP playbook; in recent cycles, the Republicans have run Hispanic women in border districts to deliver the party’s message with authority.

Nebraska independent Dan Osborn is again challenging a Republican senator in the deep-red state. He may be in for a different race this time.

The president posted his announcement on Truth Social, saying current Gov. Jim Pillen has his “complete and total endorsement” for re-election. Trump went on to state that Pillen will “not let you down.”
