Collet, the longest-serving France coach in history, was appointed Monday as special advisor to the technical direction of the basketball federation after guiding his team to a silver medal at the Paris Olympics last month.

France men’s basketball coach Vincent Collet is shifting to an advisory role after leading the team to the last two Olympic silver medals.

After 15 years leading the French men’s basketball team, Vincent Collet has been appointed as Special Advisor to the National Technical Directorate of the FFBB. Collet led Les Bleus through six FIBA World Cups and four Olympic Games, winning eight international medals, inlcuding the 2024 Paris Olympics silver.
