Streaming service HBO Max is losing its live news channel as CNN Max live will soon leave the platform. In an email sent to subscribers this month, HBO Max confirmed the 24/7 news channel will be leaving its platform as of Nov. 17, 2025.

CNN will discontinue its live news stream on HBO Max Nov. 17, 2025, as it readies its own standalone streaming product. HBO Max subscribers will still have access to select CNN Originals, however.

The CNN Max livestream will sunset Nov. 17, according to a news release from the company. HBO Max will continue to stream CNN Originals, including “Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy,” “Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown” and “The Whole Story with Anderson Cooper.”
