Pedestrian Jesus Rodriguez Barragan died in a hit-and-run on July 4 in Austin, marking the city's 49th fatal crash in 2025.

Three people were shot in two shootings in the South Austin neighborhood minutes apart Sunday night, Chicago police said.

The remains were found around 5 p.m. on June 30 inside a vehicle submerged in water at the Mount Sinai Cedar Beach Boat Ramp.
