The club’s owners, 49ers Enterprises, want to increase the capacity of Elland Road from its current 37,645 to around 53,000, a plan that would drive matchday revenues forward considerably and go a long way to satisfying the pent-up demand for season tickets that exists, with the current waiting list sitting at around 26,000.
