Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney doubled down on his speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, last week, during which he backed Greenland’s sovereignty and pushed back on President Trump’s tariff agenda.
David Coletto, the boss of Abacus Data, a polling firm, reckons Mr Carney probably amassed domestic political capital with his Davos speech, a rallying cry to stand up to Mr Trump, which plays well with most Canadians.
