After nearly three decades drumming for the rock supergroup, Matt Cameron is leaving Pearl Jam. Cameron, 62, announced the decision with a post to Instagram July 7, thanking his fellow bandmates and fans for "the opportunity of a lifetime" and teasing what comes next.

Pearl Jam drummer Matt Cameron said Monday that he’s leaving the band after nearly 30 years. The 62-year-old Cameron announced his departure in a social media post.

The drummer did not give a reason for his departure after nearly 30 years from the Grammy Award-winning rock group.
