UP Warriorz (UPW) have named Australia top-order batter Georgia Voll as replacement for Chamari Athapaththu, who will be missing the final phase of the WPL owing to national duties. As reported by ESPNcricinfo last week,

UP Warriorz desperately needed a big-hitting overseas option with Indian youngsters not being able to give that at the top of the order after Alyssa Healy was ruled out of the tournament. The Warriorz still have three home games left to make amends in WPL 2025 and push for a top-three spot.

A top-order batter, Voll represents Australia in international cricket. A rising star, the 21-year-old has made a sparkling start to her international career, scoring a century in just her second ODI.

Australia international Georgia Voll will replace Chamari Athapaththu at UP Warriorz for the remainder of the WPL. Athapaththu is linking up with the Sri Lanka national team ahead of their white-ball series against New Zealand.
