Former LSU star Angel Reese’s homecoming in the Sky’s WNBA exhibition opener over the Brazilian national team was a smashing success.

Before Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese was a dominant force in the WNBA, she was breaking records and winning championships in college for the LSU Tigers. She and her teammates famously took down Caitlin Clark and Iowa during the 2023 National Championship Game, which catapulted Reese into being a polarizing figure.

Kamilla Cardoso was delighted, too, to have a chance to spend a little time with — and, in a total twist, play against — Brazil’s national team, for which she has been a central figure in recent years.
