Paris' summoning of U.S. Ambassador to France Charles Kushner, following his allegations that the country had not done enough to combat antisemitism, indicates its formal displeasure with the diplomat.

Kushner wrote in an open letter on Sunday to President Emmanuel Macron that the country had not taken “sufficient action” to combat antisemitism.

The new American envoy, Charles Kushner, said that France was not doing enough to protect its Jewish citizens, a charge the government in Paris said it “firmly refutes.”
