Felix Baumgartner, an Austrian daredevil known for skydiving from a balloon in the stratosphere in 2012, met a tragic end in a hotel swimming pool during a paragliding accident on Thursday. He was 56.

The multi-hyphenated adventurer undertook many base-jumping activities over the years, such as jumping from the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur and the Christ the Redeemer statue in Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro, as per Dexerto.
