The Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan are likely to hold high-level talks Monday evening regarding the ongoing tension between the two neighbours.
Top commanders from the Army, Air Force, and Navy will hold a joint press conference on Operation Sindoor, highlighting India's unified military strategy and shift toward a decisive new security doctrine.
According to Lt Gen Ghai, “Following Operation Sindoor on 7 May, where terrorists were struck without crossing the LoC, the Indian side was prepared for a Pakistani retaliation with a ‘Multilayered counter-drone and air defence grid’.”
Drones were sighted near Jammu and Kahsmir's Samba district on Monday night, soon after PM Modi addressed the nation to speak about 'Operation Sindoor'. The Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan held talks on Monday.
Pakistan's Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) also released the names of 11 soldiers who died as a result of the strikes and also claimed that 78 of its soldiers sustained injuries.
He also said that the Operation Sindoor was conceptualised with a clear military aim to punish the perpetrators and planners of terror and to destroy their terror infrastructure.
