Nestled in the middle of the Florida Keys an hour’s drive from Key West, Marathon is a 10-mile-long, family-friendly community made up of 13 islands that include Grassy Key, Fat Deer Key, and Vaca Key.

Marathon occupies a series of keys (islands) near the middle of the Florida Keys. Via U.S. Route 1, it is 50 miles (80 km) northeast of Key West and 54 miles (87 km) southwest of Key Largo.
