I think the best modern theme park game is still planet coaster. Original Roller Coaster Tycoon still has the best gameplay, scenario-wise. Best way to play it is OpenRCT2 with imported files from an RCT1 install. Parkitect is also really well made even if I have a few minor issues with it.

Build. This coaster that i made in my Efteling inspired park is (as the tile suggests) inspired by the Python from the park itself. I've tried to make it similar to the irl one but there are a few differences. The coaster uses ride operations and comes with a little building at the station. (track friction 0%), and it is a Multi-launch coaster.

I generally prefer the legacy paths since I always disable my path curbs, but the material customization is a huge advantage for the newer paths. Legacy paths also lacked proper stairs, instead only had ramps.
