Well technically this was not a rest stop, but same thing. This is the Marfa lights viewing area, and you can stay overnight in their parking lot. Most states out West have a ton of boondocking spots, but not Texas. So we have to be a bit more creative to camp for free. We find Walmart, Cracker Barrel’s, gas stations, and rest areas.
