Andrew Kirk Gleason, affectionately known as Kirt, was born on March 25, 1955, in Ft. Pierce, Florida, and passed away peacefully at his home in Gainesville on September 5, 2025, after an extended illness. Kirt was a remarkable man who dedicated over 30 years of his life to welding at Mercury Aircraft.
