Winter sports enthusiasts hit the slopes at Taos Ski Valley Friday (Jan. 9) to enjoy the 10-13 inches of fresh snow that — finally, after a month-long dry spell — covered the Enchanted Circle late last week. It was a much-needed boost for ski areas and a critical addition to the snowpack that North Central New Mexico and communities downstream rely on in the warmer months. Stayed at Hotel Luna Mystica on the recent visit to Taos. I love staying here. It is quiet, peaceful, affordable, cozy, pet & family friendly. They are building a permanent office space & cafe. I'm very excited about the prospect of having a steady caffeine supply nearby, though they do provide coffee in each camper.
